Backpacking is one of the best and easiest ways to enjoy the
wilderness. It's just you, your pack, and the trail - enjoying
nature and the thrill of physical exertion.
PAL Members will be able to get away from the hustle and
bustle of city life and experience the simple life of the
“Great Outdoors” during a 4-day, 3-night backpacking trip to
Caribou Wilderness Area, near Mount Lassen. Sergeant
Todd Mefford, Officer Randy Heald and other volunteer officers
will take you hiking approximately 2 ½ miles up to Triangle
Lake.
This adventure is an
opportunity for young people to learn about themselves and
their strengths in a new setting, away from their typical
pressures and temptations. You don't need to be an athlete or
an experienced outdoor enthusiast to go on one of our
adventures. All you need is desire to succeed and grow
yourself personally.
